How does one compute the "Life Palace" ?
I haven't yet tried to translate this...I see the Chinese is EB, so it wouldn't be hard to decipher...but can you say a bit about its use please?

What do the two "clothing" stars refer to?
What is "Side Door"?
What does the appearance of the "Parents" star in a chart tell us?

As for the rest, do I assume that looking at, say, the "Health" star we have to see if it is favorable or unfavorable? Same for the others?

im not sure what chart is that ? at first it looked like 12 life stages, but i read you wrote ming gong/ life palace. ???

HI all,

I can formularize quah's method as follows:

1=Yin, 2=Mao......12=Chou

Use Month EB + Hour EB = A

If
A<14, use 14-(A+B)

If
A>14, use 26-(A+B)

If A=14, use 14-12

the result in each case should be the Ming Gong.

The method of using month and hour to determine ming gong has uncanny resemblance to zwds.  wonder if the person who developed this ming gong method also learnt zwds.
