七 = seven
杀 = killing, control, clash

I recall to have read a book with below explanation :

子 (water) clashes with 午 (fire).  子 is known as the 七杀 to 午.   If we were to count the number of branches from 子 to 午, there are a total of seven (7).

Bi Jian (比肩)                =  Independent and Robust                                Amiable Deity
Jie Cai (劫财)                =  Obstinate and Impulsive                                Competitive Deity
Shi Shen (食神)             =  Relaxed and Gentle                                       Implicit Talent
Shang Guan (伤官)         =  Dynamic and Headstrong                               Explicit Talent
Zheng Cai (正财)            =  Industrious and Thrifty, Realistic                    Conventional Wealth
Pian Cai (偏财)               =  Generous, Forthright                                    Unconventional Wealth

As a quick reference, Qi Sha is favourable when the DM is strong

i guess it is favourable
-when wealth is too strong and presence of Resources..7k can diminish the wealth to become resource for the DM..
-most strong DMs with strong presence of Amiable deity..
