curious on the "formulas" on shen sha so to understand them more in details
like sui-po is the 6-clash between the year and direction or date
san-sha is the clash between the 3-combination with direction or date .. etc

cheers

It's from an old classic Chinese Almanac (aka Tong Shu) called Xie Ji Bian Fang. Many modern Tong Shu reference this old classic to publish their yearly Tong Shu book. It is one of the reference source for almanac creation and date selection. Sometime you may come across feng shui practitioners who only use the current year's Tong Shu to pick auspicious dates but if they are asked about dates that are 2 or more years ahead, they are unable to do it by saying next year's Tong Shu is not published yet. Take note there are also many other old Chinese Tong Shu in the market that you can refer to, usually dated during the Ching Dynasty.

Hi quahbkc

Thanks for the information !

Where can we get this Xie Ji Bian Fang ?

     Regards

Just sharing my experience....

I find the mainland 图解 version easier to read. Like what quahbkc said, you could try searching for it at Bras Basah. I got mine at Maha Yu Yi at #03-07 & 03-11 at Bras Basah Complex.

Afternatively, if you find them from www.amazon.cn [nofollow] and www.dangdang.com [nofollow]. It was very troublesome buying from both Chinese websites (e.g. getting your payment through, especially for big amounts because China has a cap amount for each credit card transaction. Took me 2 weeks corresponding with them before it was approved. I find paying with an Amex card is alot easier because its not issued by a Bank) but if you buy quite a bit, the price (together with freight) is almost half price of what we would pay in Singapore.

Hope that helps.

Jerry,

In Singapore you can buy at Wanli bookshop. For mainland ones, you can look for it in Brash Basah Complex.

Hi Quahbkc

Thanks for the information !

Is that the complete book of Xie Ji Bian Fang Shu which has been partly translated by Thomas F. A ?

How much is the price ?

       Regards
