Hi bzsm

Quote
No. In the Host-Guest princple it is seen as inauspicious.

Hmm.. How many Host Guest prinziples does exist????
From Chinese feng shui compass S 193 (section 28 lunar mansions..)

"( c ) host restrains guest is Cai qi (chinese signs ) , wealt and auspicious "

 :D :D :D

Maybe my english isn`t good enough.

so restrains = controls ??

Regards

Hermann

BTW. How to know which 28 Lunar manisons are usefull you use the quality of the days?
Got some explainations in german from a good chinese astrology book. chapter: daily oracle from the 28 constellations.
So for excample if: 1 the horn is usefull in the text, so its usefull in xuan kong ?

Hi redhawk,

Yes its the way you look at the parts of the stars and the sector, environment, Kua etc..

What i meant was the "abstract" examination how the 5 elements or the flow between the two parts looks like.

Hi bzsm

Quote
Host controls Guest is seen as weakening the Host.
Guest controls Host, is not seen as weakening, but as stimulating.

Yes makes sense. Host controls Guest energy flow is from Host to Guest. So Host is weakend.

So in Ba Zi wealth is what you control. Ist not allowed here? then i dont understand the writing at the book.

Second. Guest controls Host -> stimulating the Host ? i think. In a positiv or more threateningly manner? I think the Host doesnt like it ??
Or is it more like a wake up call ??  ;D

 ~O0 Thanks

Hi Bazisuanming,

When there is confusion in ascertaining the facing of an apartment, it is difficult to to ascertain Mountain Stars and Water Stars in each palace.

However, I have noticed masters like to use the Period and Annual stars in each palace to discuss about the luck of each palace.  With this method, we do not have differentiation of mountain & water star.  Then how do we tune it to say specifically improving human health?  Do we use want to see a mountain feature for those palace that have Host 8 or 9 Star well supported by a guest star?

I wanted to ask also, based on your real life experience in fengshui audits, how meaningful it is to analyse just the Period and Annual star's effect without taking into consideration the Apartment's Natal Chart?

HI Bazisuanming,

Unfortunately i can't make a good guess the meaning you are trying to convey with your emoticon.  Seemed to be hitting the horse's head for asking a stupid question :-\ but for which the subsequent sentence you were saying there is still usefulness in such an incomplete approach?

So for instance, in the east sector Star 6 host Annual Star 9 which is auspicious since 6 is stimulated by 9?  But how do we know if this auspiciousness relates to wealth or human health?

Hi Bazisuanming,

Oh i see, there's droppings coming out from the horse and you whack its head.  Meaning such an approach is reprehensible.

I see, so period star is really quite limited in its uses?

As for annual stars, I do get what you are trying to say, but however, is there a more definite way to know if the positive effect is health or wealth related?  While it is true that 8 and 5 are more often associated with wealth and health respectively, I thought both of these can also conversely have effect on health and wealth respectively?

Yep, I do understand that forms are more important in the trigger of the influences.  for instance when using House's Natal chart, we differentiate between mountain and water stars and the forms that may trigger each.  But for yearly stars, since we don't differentiate mountain (affect humans, usually associated with health) and water stars (affect wealth), can I then guess that they are capable of affecting both health and wealth, either of which will depend on the appropriate forms?

Hi Bazisuanming,

Quote
look also into Host-Guest, Ming Gua
i thought Host-Guest only tells us whether auspicious or not and not so much about the nature (ie whether health or wealth)?  As for Ming Gua, take for example if sleeping in Sheng Qi or Tian Yi direction, what additional interpretation can i derive?

Quote
look into the interaction of form and yearly/monthly stars
oh, so form is still the key?  Also you mean we have to check the usual interpretations for combinations of stars.  I am just hoping there is a shorter way than to memorise those 81 examples

Who told you this?
Err, not so much of being told but I made a guess due to most times only finding discussions of host & guest relating to such nature.  care to share other uses? :)

Quote
Yearly star 8 for Ming Gua1 or for Ming Gua 7, same results?
ah, get what you trying to say.  Thanks!  by the way, for such an interpretation, the perspective is to look at the star 8 attacking Gua 1 or being attacked by Gua 1? ie the stimulating effect.

Quote
This I never told. Just yearly star with surrounding forms can give lots of clues.
Memorizing the 81 combinations is useless, as each combination can have a multitude of meanings. Better understand the factors, on which the interpretation of the 81 combinations is based. Then there is no need of much memorization.
that's great!  i am lazy to memorise that's why have been finding ways to rationalise the effect of star combination but have met with limited success.  eager to learn how the combination works.  any tips to share :P
