still new to flying stars, so...

if the unit span 2 periods, then i use both and acid test if possible

nowadays more high rise apartment, so tried taking reading from ground level and unit level, and acid test again

which mean 2x2 = 4 charts to consider if ground and unit level readings are different

if reading falls in border .. then another set to acid test

cheers

Personally I use the period the very 1st tenants move-in as 1st consideration, else it'll be the period the building was built.

But considering the many ways of determination on the flying star chart of a property, how does one know for sure that the chart plotted is the correct one? I mean, considering basing the flying star chart on the move-in date and basing on the property built-date can result in 2 very different charts.  :P

If a flying star chart has any purpose, it is for prediction. And that should work in reverse as well. If the master bedroom is terrible for a certain  ming gua, and yet he thrives then we suspect that the chart may be wrong (of course, there are so many other influences  ;) ) If an important event or illness occurs in a particular month, one can compare several potential natal charts to see if one accounts for the occurrence, and then test that chart further.

So it basically goes back to acid testing doesn't it?  :)

On a more personal note, it kinda deflates the ego when there's a chance the chart you plot can be totally wrong.  ~2funny

And on a more serious note, it is quite possible to f**k up someone's life when the wrong cures or enhancers are applied using a chart based on a "wrong" method of determination.  :o

Solution? Always be humble, check and double check and acid test before application.

I would use different period for different situation depending on certain factors.

Most of the time i would be using the period when the building was constructed cos usually it is also the time when the 1st occupant moves in.  ;D And in Singapore, most of our houses are apartment, it would not be easy to convert the period of a huge building just by having a major renovation of our unit alone.  ;)

If i am not wrong the present period is considered the "yun" period when the building is built on a different period and will also need to be considered but should not be taken as the base/main star unless major renovation have been done to convert the "chi" to the current period.  :)

On regards on the vacant period method, i have heard that it needs to be at least 100 days before it can be considered as a change of "chi"... hmm, personally i do not have much faith on this method cos i have once suggested to a close friend of mine when he is unable to renovate his house in a bigger scale and he decided to try out the 100 days vacant method but results aren't that positive.

If given a choice, i would suggest to combine both the major renovation plus 100 day vacant method for the change of the period.  ~smitten

Hi Triple7 and those who have been using the 100 day vacant period method, care to share more on ur results, maybe there are some aspect done wrongly on my friend's case if u guys were to be able to get positive results while his is only acceptable results, between, his personal luck was rather positive at that time when we tried that method on him.  ::)
