Hi Xun

We meet again here - we will discuss ya, without the Star Wars light beam.  ~2funny  We let Bzsm safe keep them for now.

Okay, I already told you that I am a 'banana republican', that cannot read Chinese, best can only write my Chinese name.  :P If you choose to debate using Chinese terms, I may not know wht some of them are.

I hve no direct reading frm Classics text to champion my learning bazi course. Wht I have learnt is only Joey Yap, Guan Leong & Vincent Koh, and a lot of forum reading in Mastery Academy, plus lots of info digging on Google wherever there is Eng text. Thanks to fivearts, I gathered a lot of info here also.

Other than the above, for me it's practice, practice mostly.

Wht I understand from the Six Harms is tht yes, like you said, it prevents combinations frm occuring.  The bks I've read so far are not advance ones, so there hve been not much on the seriousness of this impact.  However, JY did show an example of a Harm case in his bk whereby the DM was harmed by his own business partner who took funds frm their biz for personal benefit.

Based on my decoding practising, I think we need to review wht the elements involved in the EBs in Harm formation are, and their representation in terms of Ten Gods, to understand or anticipate the Harm relation between EBs better.

Apart from this it prevents combinations, negates effects of EB, and damages the structure of the chart.  k~0

Hi Bzsm

When a structure is damaged/broken, sometimes it may carry negative implications?

Seeing all together seems like very little impact.  :o

Wht does 'seeing all together' means?

'..Seems like very little impact' - Any example is appreciated.

According to book I've read, Liu Hai has a little impact in life.
It just prevent a transformation because there is a clash.

Take an example, Wu Chou. When Zi come, Zi+Chou is combo, Zi-Wu is clash.

Hope others want to share their finding............

Then we shld also take into consideration the transformation tht was prevented.  Did the prevention cause more problems because the transformation may have been favourable for the DM?  If it did, then the Harm clearly did some damage.

If a combo/transformation prevented by the Harm formation result in DM losing $$ in biz or
bad sickness, is tht considered minor?  It will only be minor if amount lost was little, or sickness did not take long to recover.

We can read frm a bk, but we nd to put to practise and nt just accept wht has been said.  Tht is wht learning is all about.

This is also my point of view.

Yes, it is somewhat like holes in the basic chart.

Was meant to be ironic. Changed wording in original post slightly to
"Seeing all these factors together seems like very little impact?  :o "

Yes, Liu Hai has very little impact. Its impact is just in relation to health and relationships.
Apart from this it prevents combinations, negates effects of EB, and damages the structure of the chart.  k~0 Seeing all these factors together seems like very little impact? :o

If you correct, I have to throw those books to dustbin.  k~0 Bad writer. Any recommend english book for Ba Zi ? Mine is Indonesian book.

Real case always give a more clear application.

Gui     Ren      Gui       Ding           Ren           Xin
Mao   Wu       Mao      You           Yin           Chou

Chou-Wu is Liu Hai. What is the real impact of Liu Hai here ? It is an accident happened. Nothing related to relationship and health.

Interactions
Yin-Wu = Fire.
Chou-Wu = Liu Hai.
Mao-You = Clash/Chong.
You-Chou = Metal (combo).

Burnt accident is related to Liu Hai ? Or because Fire is strong (Rhiz) ?

:D A bit headache/confused after all the transformation study, Xun. ;D

I try using Ten God to interpret, ok.

Actually my reasons for considering Chou-Wu harm as one of manifestation abt fire is due to these few reasons:

1. The pillar Wu tht Chou is harming is a Day Pillar, this also represent the DM himself.

2. The hidden 'Jia-Ji' roots combo inside Yin & Chou also weaken Chou, and further more
    did not transform to Ji.

3. Ji (inside Chou) is DM's Direct Officer/Authority.
Ding inside Wu rep. Direct Wealth.
In this case, a 4 yr old boy is too young to make money  ;D, also dare not steal (father
    vry strict).

Wealth is produced by DM's Output.  DM's Output element is Wood.  Wood is also his
Hurting Officer.  Wood make Fire. Hurting Officer create Wealth.  Hurting Officer is
output, so may mean his Action/Behaviour, which created Wealth - but in this case
    created Real Fire.   :P

For a weak DM, when see Authority/Direct Officer (Ji earth), is rebellious, defiant.  So
maybe due to his rebellious action, cause the fire and hurt himself.
