20.10.2010 - a good day for marriage?
« on: February 08, 2010, 11:28:25 AM »
Am still wondering if I should get married to my partner someday.
Am interested in the following dates for us;

20.10.2010
Looking at the chart for this day I can see we could have the San-he fire combination of Yin-Wu-Xu at noon, right? ... OR the 6comb. of fire Mao-Xu (month branch has Bing fire, so there would be transformation, right?)

The day has Gui water in DP which is my spouse element (probably) and it also has wood which is my partners spouse element. He is Geng metal DM and I am Bing fire DM. But there are also clashes to both our charts this day - Wu clashes Zi in both charts, unless it is combined and busy with that ... Mao would also clash his month pillar.

Anyway, I am also interested in April's fools day :) or April 1st 2010 and/or 1st Dec. 2010
Those two days also have some interesting combos to our charts ...but am not sure whether the good preceeds the not so good :)

We were already officially registered living together - which is not the same as marriage, but half way there ... and that was I think the 23rd March 2009 - just in time before we had our baby last year. It has two Mao and yi wood is my partners wife element... but it also has two Ding and Ding makes a wood combo with Ren in his chart. One of the Mao's also makes combo with Xu in his chart and half combo with Hai LP while it also makes a half combo with my month pillar and a full directional combo in my chart with LP and spouse palace. I think it was done at Shen hour, so also a clash with my spouse palace! Well, interesting to look at all those combos and interactions :) .... hopefully more good than bad. Mao is also my PB and hong luan.

Maybe I better learn more about date selection before getting married :)   ~smitten
It is indeed an interesting subject to me - and not really just the general date selection, but more on the personal basis.

Hi,

To select an auspicious wedding date is not that simple as many people think.  :-[
There are many criteria. You need both husband & wife's birthdays and their parents'too. :P

hi learnerforlife,

i wouldn't pick any time of that day (20.10.2010) to marry if i were you.
i think you should look for a master to pick a date for you.
date selection is a laborious process and sometimes require hours of checking charts.

Why dont you engage someone to pick a date for you and ask the forum members to comment on the day ?

and yes ...i agree both you and your wife-to-be birth date are required...

Cheers,
RenZi

Hi learnerforlife,
As mentioned, selecting an auspicious wedding date is a tedious process. 8)
Briefly, the principle remains as "bi xiong' (avoid the evils) and "qi ji" (incline towards the goodness).
There are evils and goodnesses for an individual pillar (the year, month, day and hour pillar). Furthermore, all the 4 pillars are taken as a whole to prevent 'evil clans' from appearing.
Many of the evils could be rectified while some stayput. It's better to postpone the date if stubborn evils remain.
Shall we focus on the evils for each pillar? Commencing from the year. :P

Specifically for you and your bride, the evils for the year 2010 are;
1. Nan e (man's mishap) if you were born in the year of wei (goat)
2. Ni chan (woman's production) if she was born in the year of chou (ox).
3. Her kid-palace or spouse-palace falls into 2010's bai hu (white tiger, xu) or Tian Gou (heavenly dog, zi) palace.
(meaning her birth year Gan is Jia, Ding or Ji)

Pls note these evils could be rectified. ~6600

If the year evil-issue is responded, I shall return to commend over the evils for the month, day and hour, one after the other.
The final touch is to chase after the goodness (auspicious gods).

cheers :D

Hey fshuifan8
Thank you for your input
For me it is totally new to look into date selection, but interesting subject.

For the record, if I marry, I will be the bride :)

Can you tell me what system you are using?

Answering your questions ;
1. No, neither of us is born in Wei year, but I am born in Wei month
2. No, not born in chou year
3. Don't fully understand the statement, but my kid palace is Zi and his spouse palace is also Zi, but birth years are not Jia, Ding or Ji

Hi learnerforlife,

My sincere apology for having mistaken your gender.

The method I am using is Jia Ji Xui Jin Fu.   嫁娶碎金赋

Pls note the palaces I mentioned are different from that of Bazi.
Kid-palace refers to the 5th palace commencing backward from your MingGong which is the LinGuan position. The spouse-palace is the 7th palace. 8)
