How true is HS represents early part of pillar, EB represents later part?

hi,

I just want to find out how true is the claim that HS represents the first 5 yrs of luck pillar , while EB represents later 5 yrs of luck pillar?
Also, does this hold true in annual luck as well e.g 2010 is geng yin. First half ruled by metal , while 2nd half ruled by wood?

I read somewhere that this method is INCORRECT. ANy idea anyone?

This is a more popular belief that I have received from many Masters. However, in a session that I have attended with Master Joey Yap, he said that it is untrue and there is no evidence of classical texts supporting it.

Thus, I would stand by this until proven otherwise.

Possibly, a rational explanation is that HS is external and can be seen by people and thus being "felt" first. EB, being hidden and out of sight, in which the effects are discovered later.

With this, you get the impression that HS comes first before EB. In this case, it's untrue that one is first before the other. Perhaps, one is seen first before the other but both elements take place at the same time.

if you relate that to your present,or past LP.
you will know that its not true. when the EB is not favourable . the whole of the ten years LP will be affected.not just the remaining 5 years...For me, EB should be of more importance than HS.

Seems like it is similar to how 4P is interpreted.
Makes sense that both HS and EB are effective throughout the luck pillar period with more influence from the root/branch.

Lets take a Yang Metal / Horse LP  this is Yin Fire of the Horse forging and molding the Yang Metal and is a produtive ten years and now to find in your natal how will this influence be in your Bazi
If Yin Fire is DM and Yang Metal is your Earned income it will be auspucious because you are now able to control your wealth

Let take another sample

Yang Wood/ Dragon

Yang Wood is well rooted in the Earth of the Dragon and inside the Dragon is earth , wood and water and means the Yang Wood Stem is strong and will grow well if there is some Sun in your natal

Final sample
Yang Metal /Tiger
This is clash of Metal and Wood and will be  turbulent period but Yang Metal chops and chip Yang Wood into something more productive and can mean we have two events happening
Productive period for Wood and at the same time expect changes to come and could be a good period for better cycle

There are 60 Stem/ Branches and everyone has its meaning

THis is is a very dry dry earth and is like a desert and if someone does not need more dryness this is  a weak period

I wish there is and was trying for the last 12 months and the samples I quoted were from experience to read other Bazi and than thiniking about it
You have to think pictorially

Last years was a bad year for many people and was Yin Earth /Ox and imagine this

The hidden element is the Ox is Yin Metal and how will this metal be extracted whent he Ox is winter and frozen and with Yin Earth on top it was a messy year for people who did not want earth and simply overwhelming
Now if earth is your talent , fussy
If earth was money , simply did not know what happened to your money
if earth was resource all your support , knowledge etc was unable to help you and it was not an easy year

There are 60 of them and mastering them is one of the secret of Bazi

I believe that reading Bazi is been able to form mental picture of the element and the pillar and overall picture of the natal in a landscape

I suppose a short answer to this question would be that the pillar must be seen as a whole with EB imposing stronger influence.
