This is an interesting topic.

Regards,
Xuan

2. Purpose
When does one need to select a date?

In chinese tradition, one select a date for
- marriage
- funeral
- building a new house
- opening a new business
- going on a long journey
- getting a new job or promoted to a new position
- planting a new batch of crop
- C-sec of delivery of baby (thanks to keenlearner)

Feel free to add any other traditional purposes or modern-day purposes that date selection can be used.

 :)
I would like to add if I may:
ground breaking
moving into a house
changing the heavenly heart
adding a (big) water feature like a pond or water fountain
start of renovation
moving to a new country or city (date of travel)
start a new job (if possible)
launching a product marketing campaign
These are the ones I could think of right now.
ciao ciao

Can these principles also be applied for placement of FS cures/enhancements?

Hi Shaunna,

FS placement (i.e. water feature etc) should incorporate date and time selection.

The difficult part, I think, is what is the subject for which the date is selected?

1. Is it a date beneficial to an individual? Which individual in the house or office?
2. Is it a date for which the 12 officers or 28 Asterisms recommend setting cures?
3. Is it a date selected based on the building facing?
4. Is it a date selected for the qualities that support the purpose of the specific cure?
5. Is it a weekend because that's when we're home with time to do these things?  :D

I disscused this question with my friend Rapanui.
and probaly
influences of year are strongest especially bad influences.
so this means that if somebady has bad year then he should seek good month
if month is bad then seek a good day, if day is bad seek good hour
finaly (shortly  8) ) in bad year you can find good hour.

Any correction to this view?

Regards
Costagnac

Dear Costagnac & friends,
I'm a newbie here so apologies for butting in!
read in JY books on BAZI that our 4P acts as a shield againts clashes or bad luck!
so it works from right to left ie from the year pillar then month pillar then day pillar then hour pillar, so I would reckon that your theory would be correct that its from good year to good month to good day to good hour. if nothing clashes with the year our first layer of protection is safe!
right? ;D

We have to respect the timing to do things. Isn't everything revolves on timing? Synchronicity and affinity.
